We operate in two groups: The Engine Group develops air management strategies and products to optimize engines for fuel efficiency, reduced emissions and enhanced performance. BorgWarner¡¯s expertise includes engine timing systems, boosting systems, ignition systems, air and noise management, cooling and controls. The Drivetrain Group harnesses a legacy of more than 100 years as an industry innovator in transmission and all-wheel drive technology. The group leverages this understanding of powertrain clutching technology to develop interactive control systems and strategies for all types of torque management.
BorgWarner is currently looking for a ¡°dynamic, results-driven¡± individual to join as a customer quality engineer to the Borgwarner Changnyeong LLC.
As customer quality engineer, the candidate will responsible for customer quality/ warranty quality for PE (Power Electric) Module of xEV. He/she will work with engineering, manufacturing and other related parties for flawless new product launch and continuous quality improvement. Strongly leading the project and CFT to improve the product quality and solve the complex problem with quality tool.
KEY ACCOUNTABLITIES
¡¤ PPAP/ISIR preparation for customer submission.
¡¤ APQP activity for new launch project.
¡¤ Customer audit preparation and action submission for customer finding.
¡¤ Customer visiting for quality matter/issue and finding solution.
¡¤ Return sample investigation from customer in-line/field and submitting the analysis report with customer format or 8D.
¡¤ Quality improvement activity with related party. (Manufacturing, Engineering and etc.)
¡¤ Executes and evaluates all quality control procedures and policies.
¡¤ Monitors records of defects and failure rates.
Ensures workers follow pre-established specifications and procedures.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
¡¤ Bachelor's Degree Mechanical/electronic Engineering, or demonstrated expertise in related automotive/electronic industry.
¡¤ Over 5 years of professional experience or demonstrated expertise in engineering or manufacture of mechanical/electrical field.
¡¤ Knowledge of quality tool required, including Statistical Process Control (SPC), Process FMEA (PFMEA), Problem Solving (8D) and others.
¡¤ Outstanding English and communication ability working with related party smoothly.
¡¤ Excellent work ability to perform complex work environment effectively with customer, supplier, engineering, manufacturing across disciplines, geographies, cultures, etc.
¡¤ Strong leadership to lead CFT, project and others.
¡¤ Automotive/electronic industry experience preferred
¡¤ Manufacturing/ Customer quality experience preferred
¡¤ 6 Sigma (Black Belt) & Shainin/Red-X (Journeyman) certification preferred
