Manager, Inbound Logistics, SCM
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Manages process to ensure product is delivered On Time and In Full according to customer orders and specification, within agreed timelines.
Manage an effective, controlled customs operation which supports the business goals and ensures compliance with local regulatory for both imports and exports
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure continuity of inbound, inventory , warehouse occupancy through daily communication with the related teams and DC inbound.
Manage the import strategy, objectives of the Carriers/3PL to add value to business and performance of shipping lines importing.
Initiates new procedures designed to maintain the process of inbound planning such as shipping instruction and global SOP.
Lead to on-carriage service provider and Customs broker tender
Manage on-going global strategic projects.
Maintains a system for identification, evaluation, and tracking of department, and logistics service provider utilizing up-to-date software, systems.
Align logistics costs and KPI with budget objectives, including import costs and any other 3PL related costs
Communicate with government agency and customs broker as needed with respect to compliance activities, including country specific customs officials.
Oversee customs clearance operations to avoid unnecessary delays and push for COTIF improvement.
Make sure that pre-classification of HTS code is correct and met to local regulation in monthly and seasonally.
Maximize savings through FTA and duty management controls.
Participate in Global projects to represent the inbound transportation planning requirements.
Lead individuals in the achievement of team objectives and working effectively with others.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Good understanding of the flow of import & export goods from source to customer
Structured, organised and process orientated
Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office, SAP and BI
People managerial skills
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
At least bachelor¡¯s degree
Fluent communication in English
5+ years of directly related experience of inbound logistics & customs clearance role in supply chain (FMCG experience is preferred)
